This post is a little over 2 weeks late, but better late than never, right?
I can't believe my little boy is going to "big boy school". He loves it and in less than 3 weeks going, I can already tell he's learning a lot. He's had fabulous behavior everyday too! (you know this mommy is not suprised) ;-)
He is still adjusting to the new schedule. It's a lonnnggg day for a 5 year old (and mommy too).
Here are some pictures from his first day!
Got to have some fun with those uniforms! I LOVE his shoes this year!
At his desk!
Walking away was hard that day. I barely made it to the car without breaking down. I was very anxious for 2:45 that day. I went home and looked at his baby pictures and kept myself busy playing and running errands with Jack.
We're in week three of school now and doing great! I'm so proud of my little man!! Cheers to the rest of the year!!

Kindergarten Here We Come...
So my little boy starts Kindergarten tomorrow. Denial. Denial. Denial. No way it's time for this. I'm not ready. But alas, I have to be. His backpack is packed. Uniform is clean and ironed. Lunch is made. Muffins are in the fridge. Whether I like it or not, we're doing this.
We talked about school before I tucked him into bed tonight. He's so excited. We said a little prayer and I gave him a big hug and kiss. I could barely keep it together. See, William was a suprise. I was eighteen at the time, engaged to my high school sweetheart and in college. Boom. I was pregnant. So Chris and I got hitched and waited for the little man's arrival. I never knew what love was until I held him in my arms for the first time. He changed my whole world at such a young age, but I didn't care. He was my world.
God has some BIG plans for that little boy of mine. I am biased, I know, but seriously...he's going to do amazing things in his life. Call it a hunch.
So I am done being mushy and emotional. ( of course I'm crying) Say a prayer for my little man and me tomorrow! And expect LOTS of pictures....

Inspirations
So some new projects are about to begin. (Yay!!!) I've been slowly gathering my thoughts and ideas for different things that I would like to see happen in my house. I thoroughly enjoy doing projects and redecorating. There's something so self rewarding about it to me. Hey, i'm just making my house a home, right?
Anyways, here are a few picutres of some bedrooms that I LOVE. The goal is to slowly do things in my bedroom and I will post as I go.
I have always loved calming, light bedrroms like this one. And I am in love with that mirror. Swoon.
Yellow and jade are colors that have made their way into my house. There is something very vintage yet modern about them to me and I adore this room. Especially those lamps.
This would be my favorite! Everything about this room screams "ME"! We actually have the West Elm Organic Pintuck Duvet that is pictured and we love it. I also have that adorable yellow pillow in the center. I'm also noticing that all of these rooms have one thing in common. A chandelier. I. Must. Have. One.
So stay tuned for some room makeovers!! :-)

I'm Back!
I have to be honest. I've missed blogging. I really enjoy doing it and it's become theraputic for me. A lot has happened since the last post. K4 graduation, swimming lessons, Juice Plus, World of Coke, Georgia Aquarium, playdates, holidays, birthdays, house makeovers, etc. To make it easy i'm going to start with Will's K4 Graduation!

William had the absolute BEST teacher all year long, Ms. Christy. He absolutely ADORED her and still talks about her. Also, I am biased, but truly he was phenominal all year. Unfortunately, we are now faced with entering Kindergarten. KINDERGARTEN. I'm in denial. Total denial. His first day is Monday so expect lotssss of pictures soon.

Beautiful Things
Easter was beautiful this year for me. It stood out for some reason. I'm not totally sure why, but I'm sure it has to do with this past year's events. It hurts that Nate wasn't with us, but having gone through that has opened my eyes to so many things. Mainly that life is so precious, so incredibly beautiful and entirely too short.
Praise and Worship was awesome at our church this past Sunday. The songs they sang were some of my favorites and my best friend already posted the song that stood out to her. The first song they sang was called "Beautiful Things" by Gungor. It was hard not to start crying hearing the lyrics along with the sound of the piano and violin. We have some extremely talented people in the music department at our church. The church was dark and they sang while a video played of different images and people from all over the world. I had chills listening to it. It was a wonderful little reminder of exactly how amazing God is and how grateful I am for everything He's done and continues to do for me. Even in the midst of loss and heartache. He's making me new....
*I hope you all had a wonderful Easter this year!*

Meet Tula!
A few months ago, we started to think about adding a dog to our little family. After months of research and lots of thinking, we decided we wanted a Rhodesian Ridgeback. They are amazing family dogs, protective, but not too much, intelligent, oderless and hypoallergenic and practically don't shed. There are not many of them around so we started to look at breeders until I got a text from Chris this past Wednesday that changed everything.
He happened to look at the Atlanta Humane Society's website and all the way at the bottom of the page was our dog. She is 2 months old and a Rhodesian Ridgeback/hound mix. We had to have her. We could not get past her brown eyes, big floppy ears and long pointed tail. It was fate!
So this morning Chris and Jack went and picked her up. We bought her some of the necessary things (and not so necessary cute things) to get her started. We named her Tula and we are in love with her. She fits right in and well....let's just say there is now more than one brown eyed girl in my husbands life! ;-)
Here are a few pictures of our newest little baby!
These are just her first day with us. Many more to come I'm sure. We love our sweet girl, Tula! :-)
